November 29th, 2022 ~ Holiday Bedroom

It’s beginning to look A LOT like Christmas around here!  I started early and I’m just adding the finishing touches to my 2022 holiday decor.  Today I want to share how I transformed my bedroom for the holidays and where I found some of these awesome finds.

This was the first year I had my amazing bedroom shelf to work with it and I can say it was a lot of fun!  Some of the items I had from last year and then I ordered a few new.  Here is my shelf with woodsy gnome theme.

Every headboard needs garland this time of year.  Even if this is all you do, this is a super fun way to transform the room!   I also added some gold tinsel garland that came from Hobby Lobby but the green garland itself came from the link below.  Here is the finished look and below I will walk you through which products I used to create it.

For the bedding, I prefer duvets with covers over bedspreads or quilts.  With our dogs, it just makes sense to change and wash the cover every week.  It also makes it very affordable to change up your color scheme and design.  The duvet below is an investment, but totally worth it.  I ordered an all-season type, but you could switch it out during the cold winter months for a heavy-duty version.  Totally unnecessary in Texas!  If you are new to wrap around bed skirts, you really need to try one.  It makes changing and washing the bed skirt a very easy one-person task!  Not to mention it’s easy to make sure it hangs correctly and isn’t bunched up under the bed.

Here’s a pic of the black and white buffalo plaid bedding.  It was a little more pricey but totally worth it!

Good luck creating a cozy holiday bedroom of your own!
