Reclaimed Wood Frames

We brought back a few pieces of old barn wood in Montana last summer with the intent to make frames.  I had picked up the tin hanging bins from Magnolia Market and thought they would look good together.

This was an easy and quick project.

Here’s a few things to keep in mind:

  • Try to get barn wood pieces that are as straight as possible, the more warped the wood, the harder it will be to get your corners to come together
  • Keep in mind that anything you do to the wood can drastically change the appearance
  • Use appropriate brackets and screws for connecting the corners
  • Potentially add wood glue to the corners for extra support

Don’t worry if it’s not 100% perfect, the beauty of reclaimed wood is the ragged edges and that it may not come togther in each corner.
