Kitchen Organization
The storage area under my stove was always a mess and I struggled to find my pots that had moved to the back or bottom of the pile. We solved this problem with a couple of hours of our time, by installing two pullout drawers and an additional shelf.
Originally, there was no shelf at all and no pull out shelves. This is one of those projects that was easy and extremely helpful in organizing my kitchen.
Start by measuring the inside of your cabinet, measure both sides getting the measurement of the opening. If you are adding a shelf, like we did, you will need to figure out the best way to install. For us we used 2×4’s for supports under the shelf. We then installed the small wooden pieces on each side of the bottom opening that the brackets were attached to.
Project Cost:
Brackets (2) $10/ each
Particle board for Shelves (3)
Additional Wood for supports (2×4) and (1/2 x 1 1/2) to attach brackets
Total = $35

Appreciating the persistence you put into your blog and in depth information you provide. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same old rehashed information. Wonderful read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding your RSS feeds to my Google account.
